Give your pool a second life

Stained, rough, cracked, or just tired-looking? A pool remodel can be as light as a new finish and tile, or as full as a total re-do with new decking, lighting, water features, equipment, and a spa. We'll walk your pool, tell you honestly what it needs now versus what can wait, and price it straight.

The Cliff's Difference

Full pool remodels

A remodel can be light - just a new finish and tile - or a total redo with new decking, lighting, water features, upgraded equipment, and a spa added. We'll walk your pool, tell you what needs doing now, what can wait, and what upgrade actually pays back on day-to-day use.

Pool resurfacing

Rough underfoot? Stained? Cracks in the finish? Resurfacing brings the interior back and lets you pick a fresh look. A properly done resurface looks cleaner, feels better, and protects the shell underneath. We use Diamond Brite and premium pebble finishes.

Remodeling Options Include

  • Pool resurfacing
  • Tile replacement

The whole backyard, not just the pool

A pool remodel is the best time to fix the rest of the yard too. Pavers, patios, pergolas, covered roofs, outdoor kitchens, turf, and maintenance service - we can roll them into the same project so it all comes out looking like it belongs together, not stitched together over five years.

Remodeling FAQs

Remodeling - your questions answered

How long does a pool remodel take?
A straightforward resurface + waterline tile refresh takes 2-3 weeks including drain, prep, and refill. A full remodel with new coping, deck, tile, and equipment upgrades runs 4-6 weeks. Pool structural repairs (cracks, rebar exposure) can add a week or two depending on what we find once the pool is drained.
How much does pool resurfacing cost?
Most Diamond Brite resurfaces on a standard-sized residential pool run $6,500-$9,500 depending on square footage, waterline tile, and any repair work. Premium pebble or glass-bead finishes (StoneScapes, JewelScapes, River Rok) add $2,000-$4,000. We give a written flat-rate quote after the site visit, never per-square-foot at the door.
How often should a Florida pool be resurfaced?
A well-maintained Diamond Brite finish typically lasts 10-15 years in South Florida. Pebble and glass finishes run closer to 20 years. If you see spot loss (dark patches), rough texture that scratches feet, or persistent staining even after balanced water, it's time.
What does a full pool remodel include?
You choose from a menu. Popular remodel bundles are: (1) new interior finish + new waterline tile, (2) same plus new coping, (3) same plus new paver deck, (4) same plus new equipment (pump, filter, salt cell, heater, automation), (5) add-ons like sun shelves, spillover spas, or water features. We can start with the interior only and add more later - the pool doesn't have to be gutted.
Will you find damage after you drain the pool?
Sometimes yes. Older pools can have small rebar exposures, hairline cracks, or plumbing leaks that only show up once the shell is dry. Our contract clearly separates known scope from as-found repairs - we call you before any change order, show you photos, and give you a fixed price before proceeding.
Do I have to drain my pool for a resurface?
Yes. Interior finishes bond to a completely dry shell. We coordinate the drain, protect the deck, and refill using a pool truck or clean well/municipal water. Total dry time is usually 6-10 days depending on the finish and weather.
Can you upgrade my pool equipment during a remodel?
Yes, and it's a great time to do it. Switching to a variable-speed pump alone typically saves $60-$100 per month. We can add LED lights, automation, salt sanitation, and heaters while the pool is drained and we're already on site - which also saves you labor cost vs. doing it separately.
What areas of South Florida do you serve?
We serve all of Broward and Palm Beach Counties - from Fort Lauderdale, Weston, Coral Springs, and Parkland up through Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Wellington, Jupiter, and everywhere in between. See our full service-area list on the Areas We Serve page.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. We work with a handful of pool-friendly lenders and have monthly payment options for new construction, remodels, and outdoor rooms. Details and a quick pre-qualification form are on the Financing page.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes - Certified Pool Contractor CPC1460184 and Certified Building Contractor CBC1265425. General liability, workers' comp, and bonding are all in force. We can email current certificates before we start any project.
