A smaller yard doesn't mean a smaller lifestyle
Many homeowners assume a pool needs a wide-open lot. It doesn't. If you have a compact backyard at your home in Esprit at Avenir, the right design can fit swimming, soaking and entertaining into the space you already have.
The trick is making every square foot do more than one job. A spool gives you a cooling plunge pool and a heated spa in one footprint. A paver patio can serve as a lounge deck, dining area and walkway all at once.
Cliff's has designed outdoor spaces across South Florida since 1986, so we have solved plenty of tight-fit puzzles. We start by measuring and listening, not by pushing a standard shape.
Services that fit compact yards
These are the pieces we most often combine when space is limited.
- New custom spools - a pool and spa in one compact footprint, sized for cooling off, soaking and light exercise
- Pavers and patios - multi-use surfaces that handle dining, lounging and foot traffic without extra square footage
- Covered roofs and pergolas - shade that turns a small patio into a comfortable outdoor room in the Florida sun
- Outdoor kitchens - a streamlined grill and counter layout that keeps the cook close to the table
- Artificial turf - a green, low-maintenance patch for pets and play where a natural lawn is hard to keep up
- Pool remodeling and resurfacing - a fresh finish or smarter layout for a pool you already have
Designing for Palm Beach Gardens sun and rain
Intense sun and humidity are a given here, so we plan shade, surfaces and finishes that stay comfortable and hold up. Lighter pavers can stay cooler underfoot, and a pergola or covered roof gives real relief at midday.
Heavy summer rain makes drainage a priority, especially in tight yards where water has fewer places to go. We look at grading and runoff so water doesn't collect against the patio or the house. Hurricane season matters too, so we talk through furniture, structures and equipment with Florida storms in mind.
Space-saving equipment helps as well. Energy-efficient pumps and heaters can tuck into a small equipment area, and we can walk you through salt-free and saltwater systems so you choose the one that suits how you want to swim and maintain the pool.
HOA review and permits for Esprit at Avenir homes
Many planned communities require architectural review approval before exterior work begins. Check your own community documents to see what applies to your property.
Cliff's prepares the drawings, site plan and material details you need for a submission. If reviewers ask for adjustments, we can revise the plan with you.
We also pull the permits, working with the building department that has jurisdiction for your address, whether that is the municipality or Palm Beach County.
How the process works
We keep it straightforward, with one team guiding you from the first conversation to the last detail.
- Free in-home consultation - we walk your yard, talk through how you want to use it and take measurements
- Design and written estimate - you review the layout, materials and scope, and ask about financing options
- Approvals - we prepare your HOA submission materials and pull permits
- Construction - we build the pool, patio and any add-ons, keeping you updated along the way
- Final walkthrough - we go over the finished space and show you how to operate your equipment
